Francesco Guerra is a visual. He created a unique, sophisticated and professional dimension which seems like blending in to all the imagines that he has created as an idea of cosmetic. That’s not only make-up but a vision of the world upon which one can inspire and develop his own reflection.
His artistic foundation stems from the studies of visual arts, theatre as well as cinematography. Francesco Guerra has a cultural heritage, his insight has an artistic realm which exists within the commercials, fashion, and show business: he symbolises beauty not as a trick but a potential reality.
It is a colourful universe but not always glossy. A kind of absolute. A framework, an idea of a pure, perfect and unprejudiced individual able and willing to uphold the meaning of beauty.
Francesco possesses the personality cult. His make-up takes inspiration from the mood of whom confides to him its own image. His style is never excessive nor baroque. Francesco Guerra has created a variety of make-up, all original in their own diversity: from the absolute minimal to the naturally artificial, theatrical and more glamorous, punk, virtual and mimic. An idea of make-up as a mean of identify oneself as a own persona.
Francesco Guerra has travelled a lot: Morocco, Asia, Canada, The States, Japan, China, Indonesia, east Europe. His trips have inspired him the idea of oriental vibrant colours, lights and contrasts of southern eastern part of the world, the drop of a waterfall and the silence of temples. This has inspired Francesco’s concept of make-up and beauty.
Francesco applies make-up on his model’s face akin to a masterpiece. His make-up is somehow ironic and sensual and at times refined and icy. He seems like synchronising artificial against natural, like rough material which hides uniqueness; Francesco has applied the same principle which transpires from his make-up.
